The design process
The design team’s work process is about developing textile solutions in a conscious and innovative way, where both aesthetic and functional requirements are included. The starting point is the end user and that the textiles are produced with as little consumption of energy, water and chemicals as possible. In this series of articles, we take a closer look at our design department.
Textile solutions
Textiles from Blaumount should not only be beautiful to look at. They must offer the right functionality, such as the ability to create a good acoustic environment and regulate natural light. By improving our public indoor environment, we also feel better. Something that is becoming increasingly important as we spend large parts of our days indoors.
Blaumount design team devotes a lot of time to developing the textile process, and is working closely together with R&D. It’s about more than just creating a design. Having a broad knowledge of material selection and a good grasp of what technology to use has a huge impact on the end result. The fact that all this collective knowledge already resides in-house is a big advantage.

Soluciones textiles
Los textiles de Blaumount no solo deben ser hermosos a la vista. Deben ofrecer la funcionalidad adecuada, como la capacidad de crear un buen ambiente acústico y regular la luz natural. Al mejorar nuestro ambiente interior público, también nos sentimos mejor. Algo que se está volviendo cada vez más importante a medida que pasamos gran parte de nuestros días en interiores.
El equipo de diseño de Blaumount dedica mucho tiempo al desarrollo del proceso textil y trabaja en estrecha colaboración con I+D. Se trata de algo más que crear un diseño. Tener un amplio conocimiento de la selección de materiales y una buena comprensión de qué tecnología usar tiene un gran impacto en el resultado final. El hecho de que todo este conocimiento colectivo ya resida internamente es una gran ventaja.
